On Wednesday, the body of a painter was found hanging from the fan hook in an under construction house in Ikhlakh Nagar locality of Gangaghat Kotwali area. The family members have accused him of murder. The murderer has filed a complaint with the police about hanging the dead body. The body of Amarjeet (27), son of Ramsjeevan, resident of Jojapur village of Achalganj police station area, was found hanging from the fan hook in the room of an under-construction house in Ikhlakh Nagar.
Kotwali police said that a young man resident of Kanpur Colonelganj has a house under construction. Amarjeet was doing painting work here for two months. Only Amarjeet kept the key of the house. When the landlord arrived on Wednesday evening, Amarjeet’s body was found hanging. Meanwhile, Amarjeet’s maternal uncle Rakesh alleges that the landlord himself killed his nephew and hanged his body. Kotwali police said that the matter is being investigated after taking the complaint.
